Is Packit available on mobile devices?

How do I create my first inventory?
Getting started is easy! Simply sign up for an account, tap the "+" button, and choose "New Inventory." Give it a name (like "Moving Boxes" or "Garage Storage"), then start adding containers and items. You can also use our camera feature to scan barcodes and quickly add items.
Can I share my inventories with others?
Absolutely! Packit makes collaboration easy. You can share specific inventories with family members, roommates, or moving helpers. Just go to the inventory settings and invite people by email. You can set their permission level to view-only or allow them to edit.
Do I need an internet connection to use Packit?
Packit works both online and offline. You can view and edit your inventories without an internet connection, and all changes will automatically sync when you're back online. This is perfect for organizing items in basements, storage units, or while traveling.

Can I add photos to my items?

How does the search feature work?
Packit's powerful search lets you find items instantly across all your inventories. Just type what you're looking for, and we'll show you exactly which container it's in. You can also filter by tags, categories, locations, or custom fields you've added.
Can I organize items by location or room?
Definitely! You can organize your inventories by location, room, or any custom category you create. For example, you might have "Kitchen Boxes," "Bedroom Storage," or "Garage Shelves." You can also add location tags to containers for even more organization.
What are QR codes and how do I use them?
Packit can generate unique QR codes for each container. Print these labels and stick them on your boxes or bins. When you need to find something, just scan the QR code with your phone camera, and Packit will instantly show you what's inside that container.
Can I export my inventory data?
Yes! You can export your inventories to CSV or PDF format at any time. This is useful for insurance purposes, sharing with movers, or keeping backup records. Premium users also get access to Excel exports with advanced formatting options.

Is Packit free to use?
Packit offers a free plan that includes up to 3 inventories and 100 items. This is perfect for small projects or trying out the app. For unlimited inventories, items, and premium features like custom fields and priority support, you can upgrade to our Premium plan for $4.99/month or $49.99/year.
What's the difference between Free and Premium?
The Free plan includes 3 inventories, 100 items, and basic features. Premium unlocks unlimited inventories and items, custom fields, advanced search filters, QR code labels, CSV/Excel exports, cloud photo storage, and priority customer support. There's also a Premium Family plan for up to 5 users.
Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Yes, you can cancel your Premium subscription at any time. There are no long-term contracts or cancellation fees. If you cancel, you'll continue to have Premium access until the end of your current billing period, then your account will revert to the Free plan.
Do you offer discounts for annual plans?
Yes! Our annual Premium plan is $49.99/year, which saves you over 15% compared to paying monthly. We also offer special discounts for students, nonprofits, and bulk purchases. Contact our sales team for enterprise pricing.
Privacy & Security
How is my data protected?

Where is my data stored?
Your data is stored on secure cloud servers in the United States. We use Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure with automatic backups and redundancy. You can also enable local backup to your device for offline access and additional peace of mind.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes, you have full control over your data. You can delete individual inventories, specific items, or your entire account at any time from the account settings. When you delete your account, all your data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
Do you comply with GDPR and privacy regulations?
